How do I set up and use Dexcom ONE alerts?
Dexcom ONE gives you the option of turning on alerts when you set up your system. You just follow the prompts on your screen. If you want to turn on or change your alerts after setup, go to Settings > Alerts.
Work with your healthcare professional to customize your alerts to help you achieve your goals. For example, are you worried about insulin stacking – taking doses too close together?
To use your Dexcom ONE as a tool for watching and waiting – and avoiding insulin stacking – your healthcare professional may advise you to turn the Repeat Alert feature in your High Alert setting. That way, when you get a High Alert and confirm it, you will be re-alerted after a time you select. The alert will repeat until your Dexcom ONE readings are back in your target range. Having a repeat alert reminds you to check your readings later to make sure your glucose values have come down.
